Medication management is a specialized mental health service that involved evaluating, prescribing, and monitoring psychiatric medications to ensure they are safe and effective for each individual.
How do I find the Right Medication?
This process includes a thorough assessment of symptoms, medical history, and treatment goals, followed by ongoing follow-up to track progress, manage side effects, and make any necessary adjustments. The goal is to help patients achieve mental and emotional stability with the right medication support, as part of a comprehensive and personalized treatment plan.
Lab Tests and Monitoring
It is important to know that some medications may require lab tests before starting treatment. It is also possible that occasional lab tests may be needed to monitor for negative impacts on the patient's body. There are a few medications that require blood level monitoring to ensure proper dosing.
Collaboration and Support
I work closely with my patients to ensure their medications are at the most effective dose, providing symptom relief with the fewest side effects. It is my goal to prescribe the least amount of medications for the most therapeutic effect.
